We stayed with our family at the end of January 2026. The staff were excellent and did their best to meet our needs. We were greeted at the airport with a sign, and a chef was assigned to us. He bought groceries and cooked according to our preferences. The villa is luxurious, though it’s not very new. It has a jacuzzi and a plunge pool beside each bedroom, and sits on a hill about a five-minute drive from Surin Beach. Getting there on foot is a bit of a hassle: it’s a 1.5-km walk over rough ground and then uphill on the way back. The first day we were asked if we wanted cleaning and declined. No one cleaned the villa or checked with us during the following week, so we lowered our rating. The beach was crowded and not very clean. Walking left along the cliff leads to a more secluded, uncrowded beach. For a truly long, clean beach, Khao Lak is the place to go.
