Sau, the house manager, and her team were attentive, thoughtful hosts, and the chef was flexible. Just know the chef specializes in Thai food if you’re expecting Western dishes. We stayed five nights in December 2022, with six adults and three very young children. The house was nice and the views were exceptional, but the layout was a poor fit for young kids. Two of the four bedrooms are outside the main house, reached by a long outdoor staircase. The website didn’t mention this, and neither did the booking agent, even though they knew the children’s ages. The two lower rooms also don’t connect to each other. We didn’t feel safe leaving the children separated from the adults, so two children and two adults had to share one of the two bedrooms in the main house. We paid for a four-bedroom villa but could only use three rooms, which left me unhappy. The pools barely get sunlight and aren’t heated, so they were freezing even in the hot weather. In the showers, the refillable ceramic shampoo and conditioner bottles sit on a table and are easy to knock over. They’re environmentally friendly, but breaking one means a charge. Wall-mounted dispensers would be an easy fix.

The infinity pool was such a refreshing treat, especially after one of Chef Nat’s signature drinks. This villa really felt like paradise, and the views were breathtaking from everywhere. It’s the kind of place to unwind, recharge, and enjoy some peace. Chef Nat’s meals were better than the local restaurants we tried. Every dish was full of flavor, satisfying, and beautifully presented. The drinks were mixed just right and arrived on time. He went out of his way to give us a taste of Thailand and delighted us with every meal. Ying seemed to know what we needed before we asked, and the whole staff made us feel welcome, almost like family. The villa was always tidy and immaculate, with pressed linens and pristine bathrooms. Thank you to everyone there. We’ll definitely be back, and we won’t forget you. Now we know what paradise feels like.

We stayed four days and ended up eating in almost every day, working our way through the whole menu. The in-house food was amazing. It’s a great villa for bigger groups and families, and the staff were friendly and incredibly helpful.

For all 10 days, the two downstairs rooms smelled of mildew and sulfur. Dehumidifiers and oil diffusers had been put in to mask it, but they didn’t solve the smell. The booking company blamed the house staff, though the staff were doing their best. Those rooms shouldn’t be rented as luxury accommodation. They’re unacceptable.
