Hawa House Phuket Oldtown

Right in the middle of the old town market, and the rooms were so big and pretty that we were in awe. It was our most comfortable stay in Thailand.

We stayed on the third floor, and the view down to the street was really cool. There’s no lift, though. In under a ten-minute walk you can reach Downtown Markets, where locals go for cheap, delicious food. It’s a charming old part of Phuket, close to everything and right in the middle of the action in Old Phuket.

The room was clean, with a nice TV and a big balcony, and the location in the heart of old town phuket was excellent. I had a good stay and thought it was very good value for money. The rooms have an open shower and toilet, which I didn’t like, and the shower never got hot. They say it’s a 4 star place, but rooms aren’t cleaned until after three days, which doesn’t meet that standard. It’s a nice boutique hotel above a boutique shop with self check-in. The doors are annoying and start beeping after five seconds. There’s no lift, so you have to carry luggage upstairs, though I understand that for the price.

The rooms had a boutique hotel feel, and the price was very reasonable. It’s on a busy street, but the place was still quiet. Nice rooms and a great location.
