The staff were pretty nice, and the women cleaning the rooms clearly work hard. The hotel itself is kind of depressing, though. The rooms were okay, but the bed was bad, with springs poking through the mattress. Hot water was only available in the shower, and the shower barely drained, so water built up around my ankles. It’s okay if you want to be close to the rail, but I wouldn’t really recommend it.

Thung son is a handy stopover when travelling by railway. The Hotel is just 30 seconds from the station, and the market and night market are only a few minutes away on foot.

We spent 3 nights here while bike touring around Nakhon Si Thammarat province. The price was right, and the room was large and clean. The Sino hotel has the best location in Thunsong, directly across from Thunsong train station and 200 meters from both the night market and morning market. Despite that, it was nice and quiet. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Recommend.

Lots of recommended food stalls nearby serve delicious food, though they only open during the day. The hotel is close to the train station, and the room was clean, spacious, and good value, with a soft bed that made it easy to sleep. I didn't give a full 5 stars because there isn't proper parking. You have to park in the open space in front, with no shelter, enclosure, or guard.

The room with a balcony was okay. The reception staff, especially Miss Pavana and the others whose names I didn't get, were polite and always greeted guests with a smile. The cleaners were the same. The location is great: 2 minutes on foot to the railway station, 300meters to restaurants, 4 to 5 minutes to the night market, and 6 to 7 minutes to 7-11 and shops.
