The location is good for sleeping, the maid did her job well, and the price is reasonable. My issue was with the receptionist. I left my stuff, including my backpack and helmet, at reception while I went to get my bike after it was fixed. I’d already told them I’d come back to pay and check out, but she called me five or six times in a row to pay right then. It felt disrespectful. I hope they learn from this in the future. Such a shame. One star for reception.

It was spotlessly clean and good value, as long as you don’t expect a Hilton. The low rate for this place (

The room was decent, with a TV, fridge, and Wi-Fi, and the staff were friendly. I had to ask twice for a Tuk-tuk, which I thought they understood. After waiting 30 minutes, I asked again and they realized what I meant. It arrived five minutes later. The cleaner spoke better English than the receptionist.

A Tuk-tuk driver dropped me at the wrong address, which had a very similar name. One of the hotel employees kindly drove me farther up the hill to the right place and wouldn’t accept a thank-you tip. It was a memorable experience, and she was so kind to help.

You get what you pay for, so it wasn’t the best place to stay. Still, it’s very close to everything you need in town. The street is really quiet, and I definitely got a good night’s sleep.
