P's Cottage

It has a shady, garden-like feel, with lots of trees, and we had four dogs with us. The owner keeps the main gate shut, so it can be confusing to find; calling ahead for directions may help. The kind auntie runs the whole place on her own. Pets are allowed, though it's best to let them know in advance, and there's a 100 baht fee. Please take care not to leave the room dirty with pets. Ours was small, with curtains that reach the floor and a bath mat. We had one small dog and brought a mattress cover and toilet paper for him. Inside, there was air conditioning, a water heater, TV, mini-bar, plenty of power points, and spare mattresses under the beds. There was no refrigerator.

A peaceful, shady spot under all those trees, great for unwinding. The dogs and cats are friendly to guests, and pets are welcome. Seems suited to couples, big families, or class reunions.

Khun Pu was so friendly and kind, with helpful tips on where to eat and what to see. Dogs are welcome too. The guesthouse is family-run, with just 5 rooms, tucked among trees and nature not far from town. We spent 2 nights in room 03, the middle one, which was quieter than the others because of the road noise. It was compact but a good size, clean, and well equipped. A few things to keep in mind: the road is right beside it, and traffic can be heard at night. If noise bothers you, room 03 in the middle is a better choice. With all the trees there are quite a few mosquitoes, so bring repellent. I also wish there had been a small refrigerator in the room. If I get back to Trang, I'd stay here again. There’s parking and hot water, and the owner is very helpful, even taking care of their dog. Just note that the map pin sits in the middle of the street, which could throw off a first-time visitor. No refrigerator in the room either, so you may need to ask them to keep something cold for you.
