Sri Trang Hotel

We spent seven nights here and had no trouble with noise from the station car park, which room 6 faced. The weekend night market was there too. The room was big, with a fridge, TV and free water each day, and room service was available if we needed it. There wasn't a kettle, but downstairs in the little kitchen there was a hot-water urn and filtered water on tap, both of which we used without problems. The shower could get properly hot, though Trang was so warm that we preferred cooler water. Wi-Fi was fast enough for work and worked well throughout. Upstairs, you can see some lovely big koi, including a fantastic “Plec” in one of the filtration pools.

We had a large, clean balcony looking out over the street, and the bed was super comfortable. It's a classic old hotel with a great atmosphere. I hope we can come back soon and stay longer.

The staff were helpful and the service was great. We got fresh towels daily and had double pillows, though the bed itself was very stiff. Being right by the night market is handy, but the music gets pretty loud at night. The hotel is also close to travel agencies, with scooter rental and a cafe on the first floor, and it's directly opposite Trang train station.

The rooms were clean and inexpensive, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We paid 450bht for a room with air conditioning. When we returned to Trang a week later and had to wait for our train, they let us leave our bags there while we wandered around town. We tried the restaurant too, and the Thai dishes were both good and very cheap.
