Nakhaburi Hotel & Resort

Things have slipped and the place isn’t looked after the way it used to be. The owners should come see what needs fixing. Maybe they expect everything in Thailand to last forever. Things are nicer now that there’s a new coffee shop serving good food and drinks.

This hotel and resort wasn’t worth even one star. The bed linen and towels were yellowish, there were bed bugs, the towel rail was broken, and the water supply was salty. The bed springs were damaged too. Don’t judge it by how it looks from the outside.

The rooms are fine, and the place is an attractive little oasis, but the pool areas need work. There are no loungers. One pool has cheap, loose plastic garden chairs that are impossible to relax in, while the other has fixed benches and tables that force you to sit upright. Their legs are rusted through and sharp. It looks shocking against the otherwise nice setting.

Check-in was handled by reception staff who seemed incompetent. I’d booked a villa for three nights but was given a deluxe room instead, and no one explained why when assigning it. When I went back to ask, I was told the villa was still being renovated. At the very least, they could have told me during check-in. The receptionist also couldn’t understand simple English. Is this how the staff are trained?
