Ban Sakaekrang Resort

We only stayed the one night, but the woman running the place was lovely and helpful. She even went out of her way to find salty eggs for breakfast. The rooms at the back are clean and have motel-style parking, while the main block has plenty of parking too. It’s on a quiet back street, though the town centre is a bit of a walk.

The staff were great 👍 and the price was very reasonable. The room was fairly clean, though there was mold in the bathroom. It felt average overall. The cheap vinyl-covered beads had no cover, so they got a bit sweaty.

The room was large and quiet but very bare, with no bedside tables. We were on a bike tour and stayed one night. We’re used to hard beds in Thailand, but this one was the most uncomfortable we’ve ever slept on. The vinyl mattress surface and synthetic sheets slid around on top of it.

The staff have a good nature, and between the price and location I’d probably come back. Breakfast is included and, like the place itself, it’s simple but good. This isn’t luxury accommodation, but if you want somewhere comfortable and reliable for a night or two, give it a try 👍
