Bel Air Resort & Spa - Panwa

We found a really cheap Airbnb here, and loved it. Everyone in my family had their own room, and children were welcome, which is hard to find. There are two pools, it was very clean, and the staff were nice.

The rooms were neat and spacious, and the price was good. It's a beautiful place, but very far from everything. A taxi to Patong cost 600 bhat one way, and tour operators charge for transport here when it is free elsewhere. The nearby beach is around 15 to 20 minutes away. I would've rather stayed somewhere I could explore more. The hosting wasn't good either.

There are two pools on site, and they were never busy, so it was quiet and relaxing. Most of the apartments seem to belong to residents rather than holidaymakers. Local restaurants and shops aren't far away. Try Waters edge bar, a ten-minute walk away. It's a friendly bar and restaurant, and its morning cafe serves a traditional English breakfast and great coffee. We stayed for two weeks and had excellent sea views in a very quiet setting. Penny was helpful throughout, even leaving cases of bottled water outside our door when we got back in the evening. The apartment was a really good size, with a living room, kitchen, and balcony. Ours had two bedrooms, a king bed in one and two singles in the other. The main bedroom had an ensuite with a bath, separate shower, and two sinks, plus there was another bathroom with a shower outside the second bedroom. Sheets won't be changed and beds aren't made, since this isn't a hotel. There is a utility room and washing machine in the apartment.

We stayed here with family for four days. It's a nice, calm place, and the rooms were spacious and clean.
