The location is a real plus, and rooms on the front side have a good view. Our room, 113, was another story. It smelled moldy, had no hot water at the time, and the shower door was already loose before it came off. It was replaced with a plastic curtain. The TV didn’t work, and the beds were extremely hard, perhaps because the building is 20-30 years old. Getting into the pool means jumping in or having good monkey-swinging skills. To be fair, that seems typical of Thai pools. There’s also a “bar,” though nobody was there. The place reminded me of an episode of “The Walking Dead.” I’ve read the negative reviews, and they were right. Maybe the positive ones had a different room. The photos can fill in the rest.

The pool and location were great. I stayed here in an Airbnb, though, and there was no water at all overnight, so we couldn’t even flush the toilets. The gym was also very hot and small.

We only booked one night, thankfully, and I wish we’d researched more first. The suite was run down and smelled moldy. The pool was dirty, with things floating in it, missing tiles, and decking that was coming apart. At first, we liked the way the pool looked out over the ocean, and the property clearly has potential. It’s a shame it’s been allowed to get into this condition. I’m writing this to warn other travelers so they don’t make the same mistake.

For the high rent, this was the worst place I’ve ever stayed. The sewer smell was overwhelming, and some residents were strange and quite unfriendly. There was trash around the property, the pool water felt sticky and wasn’t fully clear, and parts of the decking were collapsing, with sharp edges and nails exposed. The trees were overgrown, full of noisy crows, and dead branches were left lying around. Outside lights blinked for all six weeks I was there without being fixed. Inside, the corridors were noisy, with kids screaming and doors banging, and they smelled when tenants left their doors open while cooking. The bathroom had black mold and slow, smelly drains; the kitchen cabinet wood was rotten. The air conditioner was noisy too. The list goes on.

The accommodation was great, but the room’s Wi-Fi didn’t work, and neither did the TV. Breakfast was the same every day.
