Almos Guest House

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is great, breakfast was very good, and the staff were exceptionally helpful and polite. The spa center was excellent too.

Almaz (Almos/Almos) has the feel of a small homey hotel, with large rooms and a good price for what you get. It sits on a quiet central street, a few minutes from Ayni Street, so it’s close to the city but away from the bustle. Shops and cafeterias are within walking distance, and the airport and train station aren’t far. The reception staff could be more professional, but they made up for it by being very friendly and helpful.

The rooms are huge and comfortable, with extras like a safe and fridge that you don’t usually get in a guesthouse. I was surprised by how much the hotel offers: a courtyard to sit in, sauna, swimming pool, gym, and billiards room. The staff were helpful and nice, and breakfast was small but pleasant, with an interesting selection of local foods. A great hotel choice in Dushanbe.

I’ve stayed here twice and plan to come back. It’s in a good, safe area, and nights were quiet. The hotel has everything needed for a comfortable stay. I especially liked the gym and how friendly everyone was. I even made my first friends in Tajikistan here.
