We picked this hotel again for a second visit, and I still think of it as a quiet little gem. It’s right in the city center, yet I slept well every night. The rooms are huge, stayed at a comfortable temperature, and were always tidy when we got back from work. The staff were consistently accommodating.

The neighborhood is quiet and clean, though there isn’t much to see there. It’s only a couple of blocks from a main avenue lined with shops and restaurants. The rooms were clean and looked after, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good, and the stay felt like great value. The cleaning-product and fragrance smell was a bit much at first, but airing the room out helped.

We spent three nights at the Sharq and would gladly recommend it. The hotel was spotless and orderly, with a pleasant courtyard and one of the best breakfasts we’ve had, served in a bright, airy room. The staff were lovely and helpful with restaurant bookings and taxis. Their English wasn’t great, but Google Translate worked for us. Dushanbe is compact enough that we walked to many sights, and taxis were plentiful and inexpensive for anything farther away. We wound up here after a water leak caused our original booking to be cancelled, and it turned out to be a great alternative.

We had a really comfortable stay, with a spotless room and a good breakfast. The hotel is in the modern part of town. The staff were very helpful and arranged a driver for us to Iskanderkul Lake and Artuch.

This is a family-run place, and I saw the sons during our stay. We were there for two nights. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet offered plenty of choices. There’s a washing machine guests can use. The elevator wasn’t working while we were there, so we took the stairs. A lovely hotel stay.
