The room was comfortable, and the place itself was lovely for a night. But dinner was the highlight: delicious Tunisian food with lamb, dates, and nuts. I was impressed by the whole stay, and highly recommend dar alyssa if you're in el kef.

The host was fairly helpful, and the setting was quiet, with a pleasant swimming pool. Still, we felt the place was overpriced for what it offers. At fifty Euro a night, I expected a shower that worked without having to hold it overhead, and a curtain that kept the bathroom from flooding. We also had no water from ten at night until five in the morning. An evening meal at fifteen Euro felt expensive for rural Tunisia too.

Mr El Habib is knowledgeable and happy to suggest things to do around the city. The family are lovely, the rooms are really nice, and breakfast was the best I had in all of Tunisia. If you're in El Kef, this place is worth a stay.
