Hotel African Queen Hotel

The animation team were cheerful and engaging, and the pool itself was nice. Those were about the only bright spots in my stay at this 4-star hotel. The pool closed at 6 PM, which was inconvenient, and the food service limited how much you could take. My room's air conditioner and lights didn't work. There was no air conditioning in the lobby and no internet in the rooms, so relaxing or getting work done was difficult. The service overall was extremely poor, and I can't recommend staying here for a good vacation.

The staff were pretty nice, but that's about all I can say for this place. Everything felt dirty, the food and pool were awful, and the pool was full of bugs. The toilet was broken and the sink clogged. They'd run out of pillows, so I'm sleeping on one tonight. I'd rather be in prison at this point.

We wanted to get out of our routine, so my wife and I chose the Africain queen. The African decorations and accessories made the place feel unique and true to its name, and we liked the view too. We had fun with the animation group at the pool, especially the aquatic games, and there was a different party program each night. I liked the food, and all the hotel staff made us feel comfortable. I recommend going there.

The smell in the lobby was miserable as soon as we walked in. Rooms and bathrooms were very dirty, the pools were cloudy and unclean, and there were bugs. The service was terrible, and the hotel seemed to have no cleaners at all. When we asked for our money back, they refused and kept us waiting for an hour without returning any of it. This is the worst hotel I've seen in Tunisia or elsewhere. Think carefully before spending your money at this uncared-for place.
