There’s nothing good I can say about this hotel. The rooms smelled rotten, and the toilets weren’t clean. The menu was the same every day, and there was no service or towels. We were told the heated pool was working, but it was closed. The escalators didn’t work either. This place needs proper renovation and care, or it should shut down.

The rooms were overcrowded and tiny, with four people squeezed into spaces that felt too small for even two. Doors and windows didn’t shut, which felt unsafe, and there was a bad smell, broken electrical outlets, and no hot water in the shower. There was nowhere to sit and enjoy the stay, and no room service. The pictures on Google were fake, and the service was bad. Staff were disrespectful and asked for money and cigarettes in exchange for services. There wasn’t enough food, and the menu was poor and repetitive. Drinking water wasn’t available. Alcohol was expensive and low quality. This hotel was disgusting and very disappointing, minus 10 out of 10.

I spent four days here, and no one came to clean my room. I asked reception several times for towels and basic supplies, but nothing arrived. The room was dirty and dusty, with no towels, shampoo, TV, or AC, and the toilet hadn’t been cleaned. Service was awful. Staff weren’t welcoming, gave no information, and didn’t consider requests. The food was terrible and had no variety. They served rice, chicken, and sauces every day, and watermelon was the only dessert. The escalator was broken, so I had to walk up to the fourth floor. The heated pool was closed, even though I’d checked its availability days before arriving. When I raised it, they answered sarcastically that they’d told me they had one, but hadn’t said it was unavailable at that time. This was the worst place I’ve spent a holiday. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The loud music seemed to go on all the time, and the pool was crowded with children. The rooms are fairly large compared with other hotels, but hygiene was poor. I found a spider in the closet, and my wife and I were given two beds stacked together instead of a king or double bed. That’s absurd, especially for newlyweds. You could hear every word from neighboring rooms, and the AC was centrally controlled with no way to adjust it yourself. Food choice was thin and the quality below normal, though it was edible. Breakfast and dinner were buffets, but I went to restaurants nearby for sandwiches rather than risk getting sick during the holiday. At reception, I saw a teenager directing guests as if he were the manager. Staff seemed to have forgotten to smile. They charged us 3 TND per night in general tax, but when we paid with a 10 or 20 TND note, they didn’t return the change, saying they had none. I asked about it the next day, but they avoided the question and didn’t follow up. Tips are optional and should be the client’s choice, not the hotel staff’s. This is a 2 star hotel, and unfortunately it doesn’t meet regular standards for an open tourist establishment. If you need somewhere cheap in an emergency, it might do. For a stay of three days or more, I’d stay away. This has nothing to do with the EU Excel hotel chains.

Service, hospitality, rooms, and security were all zero for me. The rooms were filthy, with broken lamps and plugs that didn’t work, and security staff were super rude. The food was uncooked and inedible. There wasn’t even water or another drink, and the prices were far too high. The lobby was disgusting, with food and cigarettes on the floor. It was a nightmare and one of the worst experiences I’ve had.
