Hôtel Résidence Romane

The food was terrible, with just one menu and one dessert, and poor quality too. There was no fridge and no light. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the service was awful. Reception and the waiters were no use. Room, bathroom, and cleaning service seemed to amount to the servant just passing through. No fresh sheets or towels. A very bad experience, and I highly recommend it.

The kids' club and hotel staff were the only positives. We paid extra for a family room because we wanted the four of us together without being squeezed in. The original booking offered two connecting rooms if available, but with two children in elementary school, we played it safe. What a shame about the first few days. The room was renovated but tiny and uncomfortable for four, basically a triple with an extra bed. The bathroom and toilet were in one room, which quickly became a bottleneck. They moved us to a partially renovated suite as an "upgrade." At first I thought it was too much, but that night we had to put in earplugs. The children's window wouldn't close, and ours let in wind that whistled. The bedding was old. The air conditioning was just a noisy fan with a sewer smell. It's unacceptable to pay extra and not get the right room. I complained that we hadn't received the room we'd paid extra for. The beach staff and beaches were another disappointment, with broken sun loungers. They said towels couldn't be used to save a spot, but people ignored that rule. The room was unsuitable and the stay was uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I don't recommend this hotel.

Our two daughters, aged 16 and 19, loved the nightclub atmosphere, where it was easy to meet people and enjoy their holiday. We spent 15 wonderful days at Hammamet Beach Hotel, and the service felt right for a 4-star place. The staff were professional, warm, and always available, from reception and the dining room to housekeeping and entertainment. A big thank you to Féroce and Yoro (5,000V), who made a great atmosphere every day. There are three pool areas, each with its own feel, and direct access to a beautiful private beach with supervision. The food was good quality and offered a variety of daily themes, with especially well-planned themed evenings. By taxi, it's 15 minutes to Hammamet and 10 to Nabeul. Two things could be better: fruit juices at breakfast fell short of the rest of the hotel, and sun loungers were often claimed from dawn. A stricter policy for reserving them would help, as in many hotels. Still, we had a successful stay in a pleasant setting with very attentive staff. We highly recommend it.

We were delighted with our family stay during the All Saints' Day holiday. The food was the big plus, varied and excellent. We ate really, really well all week, the best we've ever eaten in a hotel. The activities and entertainment staff were top-notch, and the pool and outdoor area were fantastic. The room could use an update. We were a bit cold on autumn nights with just one sheet, so a duvet would have been welcome. Very good value for money!
