The room exceeded my expectations: it was bright and spacious, with lots of mirrors, and the bathroom had a separate bath and shower. There was even a vanity area where I could film myself getting ready. For my birthday treat, I also enjoyed a hammam treatment. My massage therapist was kind, attentive and friendly. I visited in November for my first solo holiday as a woman, and chose half board with breakfast and lunch. I loved the range of cakes and the dark chocolate buttons. I didn’t explore the area as much as I would have liked, since this was my first solo trip outside Europe, but I did go to the shopping mall, where the retail staff gave me a very warm welcome. I was nervous before arriving, but those nerves eased as I got settled. The trip opened my eyes and inspired me to keep travelling solo to other countries.

The hotel sits on the beach between Median and Yesmine madina, and both are walkable. The service was fabulous even out of season, with plenty of staff around. Everyone from the general manager to the waiters was superb and helpful, and the beach bar and pool bar also gave excellent service. Mohammed in the main Sherazed Restaurant was especially great and always looked after us. He’s a lovely, friendly, genuine guy. I’ll definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.

The setting and gardens were so peaceful, a lovely quiet haven from the city’s wonderful chaos. I explored on foot and by taxi, and even travelling alone as a woman I felt safe the whole time. The Sindbad Hotel Hammamet was clean everywhere, including my very clean room, where they’d paid great attention to detail. The staff were professional and lovely. I was on half board and the breakfast and dinner choices were incredible, all freshly prepared. I swam in the sea every day and also enjoyed the very clean indoor pool. On Tuesday night, all guests were invited to cocktails and nibbles, and the food was amazing then too. I’m travelling home today after a wonderful stay and can strongly say I’d come again. Thank you to everyone at the Sindbad hotel.

The beach was beautiful, the water calm, and our kids had great fun there. Our first room was spacious and clean, but the second was in very poor shape: mould on the bathroom grout, too much furniture in a small space, and an air conditioner so loud and rattly that we slept without it. Staff shrugged off our concerns, without an apology or solution. We also had to ask for bottled water to be brought to the room. Before our wedding, we decided to stay at Sindbad, having visited Hammamet many times. We came back afterward to stay with our guests from the UK. The food didn’t feel suited to our honeymoon celebration. My husband found grey plastic in his buffet food, but we tried to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt. Then, in the restaurant, my mum was served food with a large shard of glass on it and bit down on it. It was big enough for her to avoid swallowing, but it could have been fatal. She stopped eating, went to bed, and soon came down with food poisoning and threw up all night. Staff offered no resolution and no discount off the menu. We escalated it to Ramzi, the operational manager, and the owner, who refunded £17/ 70 tnd, which was laughable. We’d spent a lot at the hotel, as had our guests, not counting all the tips, but management came across as arrogant and as if they genuinely didn’t care. A Reiss brand new shirt was also stolen from our room. On 3/10/25, walking back from the beach with my kids, Ramzi followed us and asked how my mum was. When I explained how unwell she’d been, he told me she hadn’t had food poisoning. I asked, ‘are you calling me a liar’. It was confrontational and rude customer service to blame a paying guest who had raised a concern for them to resolve. He then walked my husband to the exit and told him we weren’t welcome back. The management needs to listen to concerns, apologise and resolve them, or they’ll keep losing customers.

We’re here now for a golf holiday, playing every two days during our 10-night stay and enjoying the beach and food between rounds. The hotel’s package includes a free shuttle bus to the Citrus for 2x 18 Holes. Our suite is amazing, the beds are comfortable, and the sound of the waves is relaxing. Thank you to the best hotel Manager Mr Ramsy for the experience. You’ll recognize him by his smile and genuine care. The beach is lovely, clean, and has warm, clear water. There are plenty of sun decks, so there’s no need to rush, and although we’d read about loud noise from the beach bar, we haven’t experienced any. Service is very good, and the staff are always there to please you. We’re on half board with buffet meals, and the desserts are to die for. We also had an excellent lunch at Les Voiliers. The location is good: five minutes by car to Hammamet Fort and ten minutes to Yasmine Medina. Walk 300m along the main road on your right to find a kiosk with drinks and snacks. Another 200m gets you to restaurants, a bigger supermarket and bakeries. There’s a clinic on your left, just in case. The locals are very nice and we felt safe.
