I’ve been to this country three times, but trying this hotel was a mistake. I won’t be back for a while. My rights weren’t respected and were seriously breached. Do not book here or put money into this hotel. I repeat, do not go. The hotel manager demanded £100 because my partner slipped on the very slippery floor, hit his head on the bathroom door, and left a hole in it. The door was thin chipboard, and the room had cheap mats. The manager threatened to make me miss my flight and leave me stranded in the country if I didn’t pay for the repair. Up to 12 men ganged up on me. The floors in the rooms and corridors were dangerously slippery. There were also random metal pieces sticking up from the room floor. I personally experienced unfair treatment of women on several occasions, and the manager even manhandled me. I’ll be taking this further. The manager was terrible. They also take money during currency exchange, apparently thinking you won’t notice. Check the conversion and count it yourself, and always ask for a receipt. There were cockroaches in the room corridors. On arrival, the sheets were dirty, the pillows were unclean and had holes, and there was only half a roll of thin, rough toilet paper. The toilet bidet leaked, which was disgusting, and there was mould on the bathroom ceiling. The indoor pool was cloudy and looked contaminated. Food choices were limited, and fruit was stale or mouldy. The spa treatments were a waste of money and a terrible experience. The stair banister leading to the spa was visibly unstable and unsafe, with a high chance that a fall could cause serious injury. The room phone had static, so I couldn’t get through to reception, and it was the only way to contact them. The hotel falsely advertised its amenities. They wouldn’t let us bring food or water inside, effectively leaving us to risk dehydration or drink tap water, which is unsafe for tourists. We were told to use little water for showers and handwashing and to switch off all the lights because of electricity.

I had such a good time on my first solo trip here that I’ve already booked for next year. The room was great, very clean, and tidied every day. I always found something I liked in the lovely food. The lifeguard was funny and happy to help, and the women at the little shop were friendly and helpful too. The staff took great care of me, and the service was great.

The staff work incredibly hard and are pleasant and helpful. The food was fantastic, with something for everyone, though it might not suit every taste. There are plenty of sun loungers, and the poolside area is kept in very good condition. The hotel has everything you need, including its own private beach just a minute’s walk away. One thing to know: this isn’t an all-inclusive hotel, so drinks at the bar cost extra. Even so, the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend it to travelers.

The food was decent and good value for the price. Our toilet leaked badly, and staff didn’t fix it. The AC wasn’t working either. When we mentioned it, staff said it was cold and we didn’t need it, even though it was 28-30 degrees Celsius. Towels and toilet paper were also in short supply. You get what you pay for, but for a 4 star hotel, I’d expect more.
