Being a short walk from the natural thermal spring was a real plus, and the hospitality made the stay. Ali, the owner, and his staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We had a delicious traditional dinner, including bread baked in the sand and local specialties. I stayed in one of the tents at Domaine L’Oasis Zarga, in a peaceful, authentic setting where palm trees meet the golden dunes at the Sahara’s edge. It’s a magical location. You could take a camel trek at sunset or simply relax there. A gem for an authentic Saharan stay.

The staff were lovely, the atmosphere was nice, and the food was good. The evening dinner was great, and breakfast came with the stay, along with a bad. We enjoyed watching bread being made in the sand. We stayed one night in a simple place, either a tent or small cabin, with shared toilets and showers. The shower even had hot water, which surprised us. The hot pool is a few minutes away. I’d definitely come back.

A really lovely stay, with spotless facilities and peaceful surroundings. These traditional tents sit right on the edge of Ksar Ghilane. The host makes “pain de sable” the traditional way, and you can have a beautifully cooked traditional meal in the evening.

The people and the food were great, and everything was taken care of. We loved the tents, and the stars at night were the cherry on top. Really recommend the place.

We stayed in the van and had a really good time. The hosts were friendly, the dinner was very tasty, and the sanitary facilities were OK. It’s a very nice spot at the edge of the desert, and we’d happily return and can recommend it. Prices are rather high for Tunisia, though still OK for foreign tourists.
