You can’t drive right up to this nice hotel in Mahdia’s medina, though there’s parking nearby. The staff were really friendly, and breakfast was wonderful. The bathrooms are a bit small.

A few minutes’ walk and street parking are part of staying here, since it’s in the heart of the Medina. Inside, the rooms were clean and well looked after, and the roof terrace is gorgeous. We had tea up there. It’s a charming traditional hotel, and I’d happily come back and recommend it wholeheartedly.

Hamza deserves a special thanks for looking after me and sharing really useful recommendations. The staff were friendly throughout, and everything was clean. My room had air conditioning, a comfortable bed, and its own bathroom. Breakfast was exceptionally well prepared, too. Dar Al Madina is close to the places I wanted to see, including the medina, the Great Fatimid Mosque, Borj el Kebir - Ottoman Fort, the promenade, and the natural area at the end of Borj Errass with the Ancient Sea Gate of Mahdia. It’s a wonderful hotel with a high standard, and I warmly recommend it. Enjoy your stay, Adam, Sweden.
