Hotel Telemaque Beach & Spa - Families and Couples Only

The staff really made the stay. They were kind and welcoming, got our room ready hours before check-in, and checked in with us during the visit to make sure things were going well. Our room was more spacious than expected and very comfortable. We also liked the quiet indoor pool, which seemed well maintained, and found a good range of food for different tastes. Everything felt easy and relaxing.

Being right by the sea was a highlight, and the hotel was very clean throughout. The staff were helpful and friendly, with the entertainment team adding a lot to our stay. Food quality and choice were good and met our expectations. The rooms, particularly the bathrooms, could use renovation, and a kettle in the room would be welcome. After meals, our clothes and hair smelled strongly of fried food, so the restaurant needs better ventilation. We enjoyed the visit, and a few improvements could make the place excellent. We had such a lovely time that I’d consider returning, even though I rarely book the same hotel twice. The relaxed, friendly feel was a big part of it. We’d worried after reading comments about guests who don’t speak French or English, but every staff member we met was welcoming. The restaurant and bar staff, cleaners and animation team all seemed happy to practise their English. Seif was especially kind, always greeting us and asking how we were, even when he wasn’t serving our area. Willy and Alpha from the animation team were lovely too. The entertainment was fun to watch, with great dancing and an engaging team. A few bits may have got lost in translation and didn’t seem entirely politically correct, though that may just be a cultural difference. The hotel and beach areas were spotless. Our room was clean, fresh water was always provided, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom could do with an update, and the balcony view wasn’t great, but neither bothered us much. There was plenty of food. As a vegan and vegetarian, we’d worried about finding options, but lunch and dinner had enough variety that meals were easy, and I enjoyed what I ate. Breakfast was a little limited for us. There was a large selection of meat and seafood, all of which looked good. Food labels could be clearer: some dishes had none, and some had no English translation, which could make things difficult for someone with a specific allergy. Still, it was fairly easy to work out which options were vegan or vegetarian. Taxis to the main town leave from the main gate and cost around £2 equivalent. We didn’t explore much of the area beyond walking along the beach. We did book a day trip to flamingo island online ourselves, for about half the price offered by the hotel tourist desk. Beach towels required a deposit, returned when you bring them back. It worked fine, though including towels would be easier and save some faffing about.

I'm 14 and have been on lots of holidays, including at other all-inclusive resorts, but this was the best one by far. There was loads to do, from the beach and pool to ping-pong, football and tennis. You could also rent quadbikes and jetskis, so there was never a chance to get bored. The animation team ran activities like darts and football matches, and the food was excellent. The resort and its location were amazing, with a beautiful beach and a really clean area.
