For about €14 a night, I was pleasantly surprised by the service. I was greeted with smiles and laughter, and the hotel looks nice and clean when you walk in, with a Tunisian feel. Even the most basic room had a bathroom, kitchen, living area, and balcony. It felt like a definite three-star place. The rooms could use an update and a proper clean. My bedding wasn't clean, which is why I brought my own pillow cover, expecting that. At night the thin blanket wasn't enough, so I had to use my husband for warmth and slept in my socks. Wi-Fi in the rooms is a problem too. If you just need somewhere to sleep while you explore Djerba, this place works.

I found a dead rat under the bed. The room was dirty and smelled like old beer. This hotel isn't very good, and they don't respect their guests.

The rooms felt dated and could use an update. There was no Wi-Fi or minibar, and the missing modern comforts made the stay less pleasant than I expected, even though the basics were there.

We had a great holiday and felt it was really worth the money. The restaurant, pool, and especially the animation staff worked hard to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms are a little old but not bad, and the bathrooms, toilets, and beds were fine. A special thanks to the two pool workers. Their job keeping everyone safe is hard, especially in a country where most people can't swim. Thanks, Dar El Manara, for having us. Inshallah, see you next year.

The people were good and tried their best, and for such a cheap hotel the value is there. Just don't expect luxury. The place is dated, the food basic and dry, and the room furniture and mattresses really need replacing. Our kitchen hadn't been cleaned, and we had no hot water for two days.
