The food was out of this world. At every meal, at least five stations cooked food fresh, with plenty of different options and no repeated dishes. There were fresh afternoon snacks and waffles, plus a place serving pizza and burgers from 5pm to midnight. Drinks were good and not watered down. I’m a bit of a cocktail queen, so I would’ve liked a bigger all-inclusive selection, but it’s a minor issue. The staff were great from the moment we arrived. Our suitcase had broken during the flight, and they rushed to get our room ready so we could check in early. The room was great and cleaned well every day. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and couldn’t do enough for us. The entertainment staff were amazing, especially Nora and Hetchi, who were among the friendliest people I’ve ever met. Ali arranged our excursions and was helpful without being pushy. Mohammed at the downstairs bar was excellent, always looked after us, and was incredibly friendly.

The whole team is great and very professional, and I can highly recommend them. Nuraja is friendly and pleasant, and always knows how to lift the mood. She helps with the children, plays with them, and organizes activities. That gives parents a chance to relax and enjoy the hotel too.

The swimming pools are amazing, and the staff made the stay easy and enjoyable. They’re really good and supportive. The room needs maintenance, and the food could be more varied. Saturday was the only day with much variety. Internet doesn’t work in the rooms.

I felt safe the whole time, and there were plenty of families with kids. The animation team ran parties for children, giving parents a bit of a break. You can book excursions through people working for the hotel, and they’re cheaper than travel agencies for the same experience, like a Sahara trip. We were there between 8-15th May, and some days it was already 38 degrees. The pools were clean, the food was good, the rooms spacious, and the team was always helpful. It’s an amazing hotel. Don’t let the bad reviews put you off, they’re nowhere near how it actually is. I definitely recommend it.

The beach was a tiny strip of sand buried under piles of seaweed, so it wasn’t enjoyable. The whole place smelled bad, inside the rooms and outside. Our rooms were mouldy, broken, and poorly maintained. There was limescale on the bathroom tap, mould on the curtains, no Wi-Fi, and even basic things like toilet roll were missing. The place was filthy and extremely dated. Staff were rude and unhelpful, and there seemed to be no system for anything. What’s shown online is a complete lie, nothing looks the way it does in the pictures. The hotel ruined our trip. I honestly wish I could get back the time and money we wasted there, and would rather have skipped the holiday altogether. I’ll never use love holidays again, and can’t recommend strongly enough that you don’t book this place. It should be a two-star hotel, not a four-star one. The island itself wasn’t what it seemed online either. I enjoy getting to know new cultures and exploring busy markets, and I don’t need luxury when I travel. I go places with an open mind and low expectations, but there was very little to do beyond tourist excursions like quad biking and horse riding, and not many restaurants or takeaways. We’d picked a resort with a pool because we expected to spend most of our time there, but the poor maintenance and hygiene, along with the service and staff attitude, made the stay bitter. I did find some fun excursions and am thankful I got to experience the island, as well as to the few people outside the hotel who made things a bit better. But the excursions ultimately wasted money, and the island felt boring and neglected, without much culture or basic amenities. If you’re considering Djerba, I’d recommend staying in Tunisia and spending 1-2 days in Djerba. Visit flamingo island, which is pretty even though there are literally no flamingos there. If you do go, don’t book this hotel. Choose a Radisson Bleu or another well-known five-star place instead.
