The rooms look out over the swimming pool, and the location is excellent. But the rooms and bathrooms are old, the furniture is worn, and the bathroom wasn't clean. The restaurant also feels dated, and the room can't be locked from the inside. The hotel is decent overall, but needs a complete renovation and maintenance.

For the price, half board was fine for us since we don't eat much. We booked through love holidays and easy jet and stayed for a week. But there's no tea or coffee in the evening unless you buy it, and a small cup costs 5DT each. We ended up getting a kettle. We're British, and even hotels we've stayed at with just 2* had one. We tried the bar a couple of evenings, but it was nearly empty, with loud music and flashing disco lights. The few people there were over 55 and just wanted a quiet drink. There really wasn't anywhere calm to sit in the evening in November, so we stayed in our room or sat outside with the kittens. There's not much around the hotel. Nobody showed us what was available, and hardly anyone spoke English. I tried a translator, then French, Tunisian, and French Arabic, but staff often looked puzzled or couldn't answer. Funny enough, I didn't have this problem outside the hotel. We never saw the beach shuttle, and I only found the indoor pool after taking a wrong turn. I was hungry a lot because food labels were missing or inaccurate. There were a couple of meats I don't eat, and I couldn't tell what many dishes were. One item was marked beef stew but turned out to be kidney, yuk. British guests won't find much for them, mostly French food like tasteless cheeses. I'm happy to try local dishes, but there were no labels and no staff who could understand my questions. The room was large with a balcony and garden view at the front. It was cleaned daily, and the cleaning ladies made it nice to come back to a clean apartment and a made bed. The front was noisy day and night because one particular dog barked all night. I like people watching and had earplugs, so I didn't mind, but others might hate that side. The hotel looked clean overall, though a little run down, and nowhere near a European 4*. Still, it wasn't awful. We probably won't return to Djerba since we've been around the whole island and through the neighborhoods three times. If we did come back, we wouldn't rule out staying here, but the food wasn't ideal, with unclear labels and dishes that were lukewarm or cold. Coffee felt overpriced for half board too, especially since it was 3DT for two coffees in the neighborhoods.

The location made it easy to stroll to the beach, shops, and the crocodile park, which we enjoyed. The pool and its surrounds were kept clean the whole time. Our room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels and bedding. The food was nicely presented and made with fresh produce. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the animation team were brilliant. They worked so hard, I often wondered if they ever went to bed! I won't name anyone because I don't want to leave somebody out, but they all deserve recognition for their energy and dedication. We had a lovely stay at Hotel Sidi Mansour and hope to return one day!

The room was comfortable and had a balcony, and there’s an indoor pool, spa, and gift shop. It’s about a ten-minute walk to the beach. The inclusive dinner could use some improvement.

The animators were fantastic, always smiling and getting everyone involved. There was something for everybody, and the service was great. A beautiful place with delicious food, and the best vacation ever! 10/10 for the animators, you’re the best. Thanks for such a wonderful time! 👍
