We had an amazing stay and I’d come back to this beautiful gem. The hotel is right by the beach, and the sunrise was the best I’ve seen. Food was fantastic, with a lot of variety from the chefs, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Manel at reception was especially experienced and helpful.

We’re home safe now, and I wanted to leave this thank you as promised. We went through a rough situation in Tunisia, and without Lady called Menel, the other man at reception, and the rest of the reception staff, I don’t know how things would have ended. They made us feel protected, supported and cared for, and I’ve never met staff so helpful and forthcoming with tourists. The hotel was clean and the food was great. The canteen chef even made pancakes especially for our daughter, and nothing felt like too much trouble. The bar staff were lovely too, always smiling and ready with a kind word. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️❤️❤️

The staff were very polite, which was the best part of our stay. At dinner the first evening, the reception staff advised us to eat before service ended, since we arrived shortly beforehand. But after checking in, we found our room dirty, especially the bathroom. I went back and explained to another polite employee that we couldn’t stay in such a dirty room. He seemed aware of the cleanliness problems and quickly offered another room. Its bathroom was somewhat cleaner, but we still had to buy cleaning products from a shop and clean it ourselves. The cleaners around reception and the lobby bar seemed to focus on keeping the floors clean, and I won’t go into the windows and mirrors, which were dirty throughout the hotel. The building itself isn’t bad, and management could make it much better by paying proper attention to cleanliness everywhere. There were some tasty food choices and a reasonable variety, though dishes were often repeated. That wasn’t a major issue since we eventually found another place to eat. I can’t comment on the pools or spa because after seeing the rooms and common areas, I didn’t want to explore further in case they were in a similar state. In my opinion, it doesn’t deserve four stars and should be rated lower. I wouldn’t come back or recommend it to friends. Sorry, but that’s the honest truth.

We spent two weeks here and had a fantastic holiday. The hotel has a friendly atmosphere, and I’d recommend it. The food is traditional Tunisian cuisine, which may not suit everyone, but there’s always something for plainer eaters to pick at. The bar staff work tirelessly, keeping drinks coming and clearing glasses, and the rooms were always clean. The cleaners were polite and courteous too. The animation team kept the days upbeat and fun, and they speak several languages with ease. Big shout out to Johnny, Alex and Bakyy for making every day great. We had a small injury during the music quiz on the last night, caused by another guest, not the hotel, and that guest took responsibility. Even so, I can’t fault the staff or service.

I’m staying at Hotel El Habib in Monastir now, and it’s been a comfortable, enjoyable visit. Prices are very reasonable, and the beachfront setting comes with a lovely pool, refreshing drinks, and tasty meals at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant is open 24/7. The sea view is beautiful, and the hotel is clean and peaceful. Staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and always ready to help. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant stay in Monastir. A lovely spot for making unforgettable memories.
