The room I was given had a broken lock, dirty bedsheets and pillow, and no soap or tissues. The washroom was small, the charging station was a long way away, and there was no pedestal fan. They also wouldn't give me AC. I changed rooms to one with AC, but they kept pestering me. They were always asking me for money even though I hadn't checked out yet. The service was very bad, and the way I was treated felt truly discriminatory. If zero stars were possible, I'd give that.

I spent two months at Hotel El Fawz in Monastir while studying. It was quiet and cozy, a comfortable place for my personal activities. Cleanliness was kept up, the internet was reliable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Mohammad Ahmadi I’m originally from iran I’m living Germany

A lovely family-run hotel. The owners are very helpful, the price is great, and it’s not too far from the centre.

There’s a restaurant near the hotel entrance, so I’ll give the location two stars. Otherwise, this place is no good. The room was dirty, the sheets weren’t clean, and the only chair had stains. There was no Wi-Fi or heating, and the hotel is beside a busy intersection. There was no hot water, though that was okay since I didn’t shower, and there wasn’t a shower curtain. It smelled, too. The guy running the place locked me out for ten minutes while he prayed. Avoid it if you can.
