One Resort Aqua Park And Spa

We had a great time as a family of five, including two children, and we'd visit again. The water slides were a highlight. I was told the blue and white striped one and the snake slide are the fastest, while the bendy orange slide is slower. The quad biking was a star experience, and we also enjoyed the hammam at Anti Stress. Fresh doughnuts at breakfast were lovely, and Sprite/Boba tasted better than Sprite. Buy an Orange SIM, data only. There were two cockroaches, each about the size of a dung beetle, one each time. We were quoted 40TDR for a return cab to Sousse, but the price is negotiable. The beach is lovely, and the sea was warm and more or less clear when the waves settled. There were plenty of sunbeds at both the pool and beach. The entertainment team were good, with enjoyable shows and daily activities. The rooms were clean and well kept, but we had no hot water for four days until we asked for it to be switched on. It needed fixing every day, so we eventually changed rooms. We booked last minute through Tui when the rating was 4.5 stars, but a few days later it had fallen to 3. The staff were friendly, though near the end of the season they seemed to be going through the motions and working for tips. Food was horrendous, with lots of choice only if you like bland, low-quality meals. The a la carte restaurants required booking the day before from just two options, and simply plated up buffet food to look fancy. Away from the resort, the beach had plastic and rubbish scattered about, though the area in front of the hotel was cleaned. The sun was out and there was a breeze during our visit. The security gate, vehicle checks for bombs, and police or army patrolling the beach with automatic rifles made the location feel like a prison camp, and not safe. Tunisia itself seemed like a dump to us, with rubble and rubbish everywhere, and buildings fallen down, collapsing, or unfinished. We felt people were always trying to get money from us. A taxi driver would take you to his own recommended place instead of where you wanted, usually a mate's shop where he got a cut. We were gutted. It wasn't a complete waste of money, but it was disappointing because you can get much better for your money. I'd choose Turkey or one of the Greek islands instead, where they seem pleased to welcome you.

I arrived on 22 July for a week, and by the second day I wished I'd booked longer. I loved everything about this place, from the food and drinks to the shows, photography, staff, cleaners, lifeguards, entertainment, pools, and the resort's safety. I can't think of a single bad thing. On the fourth day I was already dreading going home, so I booked another week through easy jet for August. I also booked to return for three weeks in July 2026. The staff work incredibly hard in the heat, whether they're waiters, entertainers, lifeguards, shop staff, or cleaners. One Resort Aqua Park has a special place in my heart. The resort's spacious layout is fantastic, with lovely grounds and pools. The desserts were the best I've ever had, and the beach bar became my favorite place to have a drink and relax in the evening. Jet skis were great and reasonably priced. Our room was cleaned regularly to a good standard, and Mohammad in the restaurant looked after us all week. He worked hard and was a great guy. I'd give the stay 3.5 stars if I could. We had a good time, but there is room for improvement. There weren't enough loungers around either pool, even though there seems to be space for more, so people rushed to reserve them early. The room had a kettle but no tea or coffee, and a mini fridge with no drinks. Drinks like Fanta and cola came in individual plastic bottles, which seems wasteful when self-service machines could be used. I didn't like how a pool bar staff member spoke to and treated my wife. He wouldn't serve her and made her come around the bar to make the drink with him. Compliments are fine, but this felt creepy and inappropriate, especially on a family holiday with kids. My 12-year-old son also fell off a quad bike on a trip booked through the hotel. The bike was too big for him to handle. We should have been told at booking that it might not suit him, or given a smaller or children's bike.
