Ruspina Hotel and Spa

The building itself had a beautiful style, and being so close to the beach was the biggest plus. Everything else made for a tragic stay. The air conditioning barely worked, if at all, in bungalows that got up to 40C. The reception was incredibly rude and told us to pay if we wanted more water, even though we had one bottle for three people. We also had to pay the service staff who came around cleaning and handing out water to get extra bottles. Our room was a mess and hadn't been cleaned or prepared for our arrival, and there was no working AC. The food was horrendous, with very dry fruit and vegetables.

The sea and the alcohol were about the only good parts. Staff were rude, especially at reception, the food was bad, rooms were bad, and drinks came in small plastic cups. There was £50 and 50€ missing after the stay. The photo shows what the room looked like when I arrived. The room was dirty when I got there, and I waited around two hours for it to be cleaned. Over seven all-inclusive days I got maybe four bottles of water. When I asked reception for more, they told me to buy it, 'xD'.

I cancelled my holiday and checked out the next day because the stay was adding to my stress. The AC wasn't working. Before we paid, I saw two other customers complaining at reception, which should have been a sign for me not to go ahead.

The staff were the best part. They were really nice to talk to and made me feel welcome. The rest of the hotel left me disappointed. It was full of children running around, my room needed modernising, and the food was terrible. I was hungry all week.
