The housekeeping team was the strongest part of this fifth stay for me. The rooms were clean, and the staff clearly took care of their work. The entrance security team also deserves a thank you for being welcoming and professional each time. The pool setup was disappointing. The water was very cold, sunbeds were hit and miss with some lacking mattresses, and there was nobody around to help, so guests had to move things themselves. Cigarette ends littered the garden, probably because there were no ashtrays. The staff smoking spot is beside the pool entrance, which made for a poor start when heading out to relax. Inside, the room was boiling because the AC did not work. When we reported it, we were essentially told the hotel was “saving.” The shower temperature kept switching from hot to extremely hot, then freezing, over and over. It was uncomfortable and felt unsafe. Reception should also make staff name tags visible and speak more quietly. Everyone in the lobby could hear my room number and how much I had to pay, and guest privacy matters. Breakfast was a letdown. I had never seen pork bacon served openly before, and I did not appreciate it, particularly with most guests being locals. The coffee has gone downhill, and the basic self-service machines felt more like a canteen. Other than the entrance hostess, the service was weak. The waiters were there but disengaged, sometimes meeting my eyes and still ignoring requests. I hope management takes this seriously. The hotel could do much better.

The beach lunch spots were a real plus, especially the sandwich bar and the restaurant with its lovely sea view. There was a good range of food overall, though it got a little repetitive, and the nine-year-old basically lived on spaghetti bolognese. There isn't much around the hotel, but it worked perfectly for a family holiday on a budget.

The animation crew kept things lively with their energy and great activities, and they made the stay feel special. The hotel has plenty of amenities, plus a nice beach right out front. They were a terrific team!

Getting from the airport to the hotel is quite a trek, though once there, you're right on the beach. The rooms are dated. Omar in the buffet and omar at the pool bar gave outstanding service, really couldn't have asked for more from either of them.

The pools are large and clean, with lovely green spaces around them, and the beach was clean too. I also liked the spacious, organized restaurant and the delicious variety of food. The hotel itself feels roomy and is beautifully designed. Getting settled was frustrating. I arrived at 4:00 PM on the first day but had to wait a long time at reception before I could get into a room. I was eventually given a different room, even though it should have been ready by 12:00 PM. The following day, the bathroom sink was clogged and the phone wasn't working. There were ants in the room as well, and no entertainment or activities for children.
