Spotless. Well done!

The food was decent, though there wasn't much variety. Usually there were two or three kinds of meat and fish. The dry wines had a slightly sharp taste, but we kept thinking they smelled like horse urine. Maybe the smell of that was just everywhere. The hotel is mainly set up for families, and the entertainment is mostly for children. There are two pools on the fairly spacious grounds, one quiet and one with water-park-style slides. Bars are by the beach and pools. The hotel sits right beside the shore, about 20-40 meters from the water across the road, which is a real plus. The downside is the steady stream of horse-drawn carriages on that road. Horses often stop near the hotel, and the smell is awful in the sun. As for the room, it was just okay, though we don't have much to compare it with. The bathroom had liquid soap but no shampoo. Things were old, stained, and rusty, and the towels weren't quite white. Beach towels required a deposit, and using the safe cost extra, 2 dinars a day. You get a partial sea view. Most guests were French, along with some Italians, Germans, Czechs, and Poles. The French seemed very much at home, perhaps because Tunisia was once a French colony. The Arabs all spoke French, and the attitude toward French guests seemed to reflect that, with everything catering to them.

I got there on August 15, 2016, and found the hotel had been closed for months. Check before you book.
