The Residence Tunis

We came here both at the start and at the end of our week in Tunisia, and I'd happily return soon. The gardens are gorgeous, with an educational element for children, and breakfast was fantastic. We had Tunisian Shakhshuka, Lablabi soup, and fresh strawberry juice that was healthy and not diluted. It's a fabulous 5 star hotel, with lots of great staff who really care about service, from the excellent female directrice to the most humble staff member. The 50m2 Hammam is a real highlight, as are the beautiful indoor and outdoor pools. Both are just a short walk from the hotel's private beach. Highly recommended!

Sayda at reception made a particularly good first impression. She was polite, humble, and efficient, got my room ready quickly, then walked me there herself. I felt very welcome. It was my first visit to Tunis, and my stay at The Residence Tunis was wonderful and unforgettable. Everyone I met was friendly, kind, and attentive. Khaled, Sofiane, Anis, and the rest of the team all went out of their way to make sure things were perfect. The warm atmosphere and service made the stay memorable. I'd love to return and would recommend The Residence Tunis to anyone visiting the city.

We enjoyed the indoor pool and spa during our November stay, and it was so relaxing. The breakfast was a feast, with both international options and Tunisian-style food, plus fresh bread and omelets made to order. The service was on point. The rooms were immaculate and spacious, with great beds and a personal welcome note that made us feel at home. Everyone on the staff was super friendly. We loved staying at The Residence Tunis and would definitely recommend it.

The Residence Tunis has a cozy lobby bar where we enjoyed evening drinks, often with live music. The beach is about 50m away, and camel and horse rides are available for a fee. The hotel is large, elegant, and beautifully kept, with a gym and big indoor and outdoor pools. The indoor pool is heated, so it's relaxing in any season. There are three restaurants, international, Chinese, and traditional Tunisian. The Tunisian food was authentic and delicious, though the Chinese restaurant took a while to bring our orders. Housekeeping was excellent, maybe a little too thorough. I kept my towels on the rail to follow their “go green” policy, but they replaced them every day anyway. The main drawback was the Wi-Fi. It was weak in both the rooms and the conference room, which made calls and online work difficult. Otherwise, I had a great stay and would come back for the luxury, good food, and relaxed atmosphere.
