Itropika Hôtel

Be careful with this hotel. There were three of us friends, and they said we couldn’t take the room because we weren’t family. Then they tried to charge us too much for two rooms. Noise went on until midnight, even though we came to relax, not listen to Algerian songs all night. The good thing was that a woman from rsp smiled and gave us a room with a good view. The man at rsp should find another job. He needs to learn how to speak to customers and smile.

The restaurant was a real highlight for me, with plenty of tasty choices and consistently good food. The hotel itself is lovely, elegant, and kept in great shape. Staff were warm and quick to help whenever I needed something, from arrival through checkout. I had a wonderful stay and would happily come back.

I liked the spacious room, the little balcony facing the coastline, and the reliable WiFi. The staff across reception, housekeeping, restaurants, luggage, and entertainment were excellent, and even the Director was great. Breakfast was very good, especially the pastries, though it was much the same each day. I also had lunch once and thought drinking water should be provided. This is an older, roughly 30-year-old four-star family resort. In September, around 90% of the guests were Algerian, and the pool was busy, with the beach easy to reach too. As a solo traveler I found the family atmosphere a little awkward, though being beside the louage station was handy. The bathroom still has an old-fashioned bathtub. To keep up its four-star standard, it could gradually update the facilities, add drinking water machines, offer more varied entertainment and fusion food, and create packages for younger guests or digital nomads.

The reception interaction was a letdown. The staff member I dealt with seemed dismissive and unprofessional instead of welcoming. First impressions matter, and this fell short of what I expected. I hope management takes the feedback seriously and encourages a more courteous, respectful approach with guests.
