This is a decent place to get away from busy tourist spots, but keep your expectations at three stars. It used to be a four-star hotel, then the ministry of tourism downgraded it to three, which feels more realistic. The beach is peaceful: you can leave valuables on your sunbed in the morning and still find them there in the evening, with waves instead of loud club music. I drove 1300 km from Bucharest to avoid crowded beaches in Romania and Bulgaria, especially during covid, and didn’t regret choosing it. If you find it while searching Google Maps for quieter beaches, it’s worth a try. There are some real drawbacks. The beds are narrow and the mattresses aren’t great. Neighbours’ balcony smoke came into our room through the bathroom, and the bright blue neon lights should be switched off at night or changed to red, since the blue kept me awake. Wi-Fi connected but had no internet. Staff struggled with English, though smartphones helped translate. They seemed overworked and could use more people. They were young, stayed friendly and smiling through 12 hours of work, but looked tired. Dinner starts too late, and there’s a long queue at the start, so it should open at least 30 minutes earlier. The food was good over the weekend, but it repeated too much for a two-week stay. Breakfast is far away in the garden, as if they hope you’ll give up; it wasn’t impressive, and you can get better food from a fruit market or supermarket. As usual in Turkey, red watermelon is served in abundance, so you can enjoy a natural low blood pressure therapy.

The elevator wasn’t working, and we stood waiting 15 minutes for someone at reception. After paying prices much higher than other hotels in the area, we felt completely ignored. We had no sense of being guests, and our satisfaction is zero. I hope we never have to return. We came back this year because last year’s service was quite satisfactory and we liked the location. With the hotel under renovation, you should have turned us away and told us. The noise meant we couldn’t rest despite being tired from travel. Our room was incredibly dirty, there was no Wi-Fi, and the TV didn’t work. I asked for help and was told they’d restart the Wi-Fi and send someone for the TV, but nobody came. This is an indifferent business.

If all you’re looking for is a buffet and the aqua park or pool, this could be a good choice. But service quality is below average. The staff are very friendly, though their professionalism is subpar. You’ll have to close your eyes to some hygiene issues. As a hotelier, I’ll try to be objective, and we also have a baby, so this may help families. Whether you’re satisfied depends on what you expect. Reception staff are friendly, but they don’t explain things unless you ask. At check-in they should cover check-in and check-out times, meals, fruit, what’s included in the price, and where to find the listed facilities like the sauna, massage, Turkish bath, indoor pool, and gym. I worked at the front desk for years as a trainer and a staff member, and guests should be told all this when they arrive so they aren’t left with questions. Housekeeping staff were friendly too and answered when we asked. The room was cleaned daily, but the toilet smell was unbearable when we first entered. I think either the toilet cleaner wasn’t used, or there was a drain problem or something. There were hygiene problems in the restaurant: food bits on cups and saucers, and clusters of dead flies by the window. The restaurant service was adequate if you weren’t expecting a lot of attention. One staff member refilled our tea with a teapot once, which was a nice gesture. We had no concerns about staff friendliness. The children’s play area was in bad shape and dangerous. The flooring was coming loose, the play tent wasn’t stable, the trampoline cushions were sticking out, and the iron rails underneath were exposed. There was trash there too. The pool area was adequate for children. They said the season ends on Sunday, the 31st, and dinner wouldn’t be included, even though the season ends on the 1st of the month. Whatever the reasoning behind that policy, please reconsider it next year, since it’ll damage your prestige. There was also supposed to be live music, but we only found out by hearing it in the evening. The noise reaches the rooms, which is a problem if your child can’t sleep with noise.
