Asiyan Butik Hotel

I booked a “Deluxe room” for September 25, 2020, but left without staying. The room needed major repairs: the ceiling and walls were cracked, and the curtains were torn. It also seemed not to have been cleaned for a long time. There were clipped nails on the bathroom floor, hair on the sheet, and cigarette butts on the floor despite it being a non-smoking room. I’d booked a “quiet room,” but could clearly hear conversations at reception. The listing called this a four-star hotel, which didn’t match what I found. There was no soap or toilet paper, card payment wasn’t available, and they only took cash. I paid the forfeit but didn’t receive a receipt. Also, be ready for a walk of about 1.3 km from the ferry pier, with a steep climb for the final 700 meters.

We stayed with friends in March and really liked this side of the island. Mustapha and Ayse were very friendly hosts. Breakfast was perfect, with a view of the trees and sea. The hotel was very quiet, with birds as the only sounds, and everywhere was clean, especially the rooms.

Great location and a great host.
