Nar Cave House

We got there early and the team let us wait and rest comfortably, even offering coffee for free. The woman at reception was especially kind and helpful. I had a small problem with the pool, but the staff sorted it out right away and professionally. Everything else about our stay at Nar Cave Hotel was top-notch. A 9/10 experience, definitely recommend it.

The mountain views were spectacular in the morning and evening, and I loved watching the clouds. This place mixes modern comforts with a touch of authentic cappadocian cave style, which suited us since we're not especially set on sleeping in a real cave. Our room had what we needed, breakfast had a good range of choices, and the staff were helpful and friendly. There were cats and dogs on the roof to play with, plus free tea available all day. The pool was small and smelled strongly of chlorine, so we skipped it. It’s easy to get here from Uchisar, Navesehir or Gureme by bus, then take a taxi from one of the taci stations. Great value, and highly recommended for a couple or a small group of friends.

The included breakfast was much better than we expected, and everyone working there was friendly with very good English. The hotel is built into the cave wall, with Turkish rugs throughout. We found lots of places on the rooftop to sit and relax over a cay, which was provided. We stayed two nights.

I couldn't sleep peacefully and ended up changing my flights so I could leave early. One receptionist kept sending me Instagram follow requests, and another repeatedly touched my shoulders, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. A few staff were helpful, but overall the stay was unsettling, and I wouldn’t recommend it to solo female travellers. There was no Wi-Fi, and I was moved between rooms twice, which was inconvenient. The hotel itself is beautifully built and has a nice atmosphere, though it’s quite far from the city centre. As a solo traveller, getting around was especially hard because reliable taxis were lacking.
