I had some of the same problems mentioned in other comments, and this ended up being my worst experience in Turkey. I rented a bicycle to ride around the island, but it was really old. The gears and brakes didn’t work, and the cracked tires went flat even though I was cycling on asphalt. The owners weren’t cooperative at all, and I found them dishonest. Watch out for what I see as a fraudulent scam. If I could, I’d give zero stars. I’d absolutely recommend using another hostel and bike shop on Heybeliada.

The owner was unfriendly, unsupportive, and offensive. They tried to rip us off, so don’t rent a bike or anything else here. Go to another pension or bike rental on the island. If you get a flat tire or have trouble with your bike, they’ll charge you the full amount. Worst place in Turkey so far, absolutely not recommendable.

The room was really clean, and the staff were so kind. It’s close to the ferry, shops, and restaurants. I really liked the place and highly recommend it if you’re after somewhere quiet, clean, and affordable.

When we checked out, I’d forgotten my t-shirt, and they offered to send it to me by courier. That thoughtfulness alone would make me choose this place again. The welcome was lovely, everyone was warm and friendly, and the room was spotless just like the pictures. The bed was very comfortable too. Thanks so much 🙏🏻 We’ll definitely stay here again when we come to Heybeliada.
