The building is small and about a 10-minute walk from the ferry station. Its quiet location is nice, away from the smell of the horses. The rooms are somewhat clean and have a heater and air conditioning. The man on the day shift is kind of rude, but the older man working evening and night was very kind and lovely.

I had a sleepless night because of the damp smell in the room. I can’t even call this a hotel, and I’ve never seen such a bad place. It’s a converted hotel with so many problems: the bathroom door is broken and won’t shut, one shower door is missing, and the grout between the tiles is so wide it looks like they might crack. The towels and walls were dirty, the ceiling leaked, nothing had been repaired, and the rug was damaged and dirty, with an ashtray sitting on it. The TV didn’t work either. What else can I say?

It’s a peaceful, quiet, clean place, and the owners and staff are friendly and do their best to make you feel welcome. Don’t expect a five-star hotel and you’ll be very happy here. Definitely worth visiting, even for just one night.
