Akyaka Kervansaray Otel Restaurant

I liked the food a lot and thought its quality was good. The reviews surprised me.

The meal wasn’t even that good, and I didn’t enjoy it. My husband and I went for lunch and asked the waiter about the mixed kebab plate because the menu had no price listed. He quoted 480TL and said it would be enough for two people when we asked about the portion. Then a huge tray arrived, barely fitting on the table, and it was clearly enough for four. When we paid, the bill was over 600TL, even though we’d asked about the price before ordering. It felt ridiculous. I’d give this place zero stars if I could. Keep away!

The food took ages, and they forgot the rest of our order. At checkout, the cashier was slow as a turtle and deceitful, charging us double the menu prices. I suspect the people posting four or five star reviews work there and are creating fake profiles. This was the worst restaurant we’ve ever been to.

They charged us 80 lira for a beer that costs 50 lira across the street and on the beachfront, so that felt like another overcharge. It was our only bad service experience in Türkiye: they overcharged the bill and gave us the wrong change. They said, "Sorry, sorry," but I think it’s their strategy. I recommend the seafood place across the street.
