We found the apartment by chance for a week at the end of October, and the cleanliness really stood out. We’ve stayed in Akyaka more times than I can count, but nowhere else has been so spotless and well kept. It’s easy to walk to the beach and Azma, and markets are close too. There’s no washing machine, though for a stay of a week or less I don’t think you need one. It was quiet while we were there, and the bedroom air conditioner was quiet as well. Nights in Akyaka can be hard because of barking dogs, but we slept well here. I can’t say what it’s like in season. Thanks to Ms. Fatma and Mr. İlhan. We hope to come back in spring 2026, if all goes well. Best regards.
Fatma and İlhan made us feel welcome, more like guests than customers. On their advice and with their help, we joined a boat tour. The captain gave us a discount for paying cash, and we spent a lovely day seeing bays and islands. We came as a family for four nights and really enjoyed it. It was great value, with no food service, which suited me fine. You can cook affordably with the kitchen equipment, or eat local food at the nearby restaurants. The rooms were clean, and our needs were handled quickly. There was Wi-Fi and TV, kitchenware, a gas stove, and air conditioning. The river was lovely, and we swam in its very cold, clear water with the geese and ducks. It’s cold all year, apparently. I didn’t go on the river boat tour at first, though it looked beautiful. The beach was nice too, especially the shallow stretch on the left by the boats. It felt like a dream. Akyaka is known for being tranquil, but the streets by the beach had a good number of places to go for entertainment, so there was a decent atmosphere. The beach is five minutes away and the river one minute.
I’d been here before and was so happy with it that I recommended it to everyone. This visit was a shock. While I was getting ready, the female owner was gossiping beside my room, saying we were getting old and couldn’t put up with children’s noise. That’s shameful. If children bother you, you shouldn’t run this business, and families should be told when booking. At the pool, we were repeatedly told not to let the children jump because water might splash while we sat on the loungers. A female employee said it could splash the windows, and the owner even told them not to jump because the pool would run out. What’s the point of a pool if you can’t get in that way? I’ve never usually written reviews like this, but people travel a long way and spend a fortune. I hope the owners and staff take this seriously.
We’ve had a wonderful time here every visit, and I’m treated like family. We chose the hotel especially because my child loves the pool. The property is spotless, and everyone is attentive and respectful. I was surprised by the negative reviews. There have been other children there on each of my visits, including mine, and we’ve never had trouble. I don’t see why children who follow the pool rules and behave respectfully should be warned. The pool is shared, since we’re not renting a villa with a private one, so everyone should act accordingly. Thanks again to the whole Keramos family, with love and respect.
Keramos apart is right in the center: Azmak River is a two-minute walk, the harbor takes seven or eight minutes, and there’s a BİM just 30 meters away. The pool is fine for children and gets cleaned daily. We always had a parking spot, with spaces set aside for guests using cones, even when we arrived in the evening. Parking can be a real problem in busy Akyaka because guesthouses, hotels, and apartments often lack large lots and gardens. Day visitors can have a hard time finding somewhere to leave the car, especially where there’s no system in place. İlhan’s grandson welcomed us. İlhan himself is a very courteous man, and I send him my regards. We had no problems during our stay.
