Ilayda Butik Hotel

Ilayda Hotel is like a hidden garden and, to me, the best place in Akyarlar. The rooms are spacious and feel like home, and the views, service, and attention are wonderful. We tried other hotels one by one before finding Ilayda Hotel. Now we book there every year.

The hotel is clean, but the rooms are cramped and stuffy, and the way it's managed felt unprofessional. There were very few staff, we only saw two, so service was limited. Breakfast was mediocre, and different tables got different items. Our table had no honey or chocolate. When we asked, they first said the other tables had a different concept. Just as we were wondering what concept honey could have, they admitted they'd forgotten and brought it. The key to our room's front door was missing. They said another customer had taken it and that it was okay because they were still nearby, and a locksmith would come the next day. We asked if another room was available. They said no, even though the hotel was empty, then suddenly said there were empty rooms after noticing we were unhappy. I never want to go back.

We came from Istanbul after friends recommended the hotel, and stayed for five days. The location is beautiful, and I'd call it the most beautiful and cleanest place in Bodrum, having traveled nearly everywhere. I can't decide whether to praise the balcony's sea view, the family-friendly atmosphere, or the spotless cleanliness and attentive service most. Even with my OCD, I felt completely comfortable and could stay for days without hesitation. We used the pool the whole time: it was very clean and peaceful, and suitable for veiled women. I wear a headscarf myself and felt at ease. When they learned that we pray, they brought a prayer mat to our room, which was a lovely gesture. Thank you so much. We'll definitely spend all our future holidays here.

We stayed three nights with our baby and were very pleased. Ms. Nur, the owner, did everything she could to make us feel at home, and Ms. Nadire was always looking after us, so many thanks to her. The pool was very clean and the chlorine level felt just right, which let me put my baby in with peace of mind. Breakfast was standard, but we really liked the homemade olives and jams. Akyaka and Ilayda Boutique Hotel are a good choice if you're after a quiet, peaceful holiday away from the crowds 🥰
