Acar Hotel

The location was a big plus for us: the beach is about 300m away, roughly a five-minute walk, and the hotel sits on a busy street full of souvenir and clothing shops, with Alanya city centre nearby. We came twice this year because I had dental treatment at Alanya Dental Clinic, which is linked with the hotel. If you come for treatment there and don’t already have a hotel, they provide one for free, which is great. We paid about €400 for seven nights for two people late in the summer season. At that price, even adding €10 for a week of internet, it worked out to about €30 a night each. Internet is charged per device, so each additional device costs another €10 for the week. Some reviews complain about the charge, but for a cheap four-star hotel with these facilities and this location, I thought the price was very affordable. I’ve stayed at five-star resorts before, and honestly this experience wasn’t far off. The welcome was friendly, and we got our wristbands quickly. The lobby stayed clean, and the staff were patient and helpful, even when communication was difficult. Housekeeping did a great job throughout the hotel. Our room was spotless, with a comfortable bed, fresh towels daily, and a clean bathroom. The shower switched quickly between hot and cold. We also had a balcony overlooking nearby restaurants and markets. There are two lifts, and they were usually quiet. The outdoor pool has a bar beside it that’s open 24/7, with staff around and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available for free. There’s also an indoor pool, though it’s open only a few hours a day, plus a spa and massages at extra cost. You can use the coffee machine yourself, and there’s a juice machine with mango, apple, orange and other juices, though I didn’t try those. Most of the drinks I did have were good, with plenty of choice. The food was the main drawback for me. It got repetitive, with similar meals on many days. Still, the hotel is cheap, and local restaurants are generally affordable if you’d rather eat elsewhere. I’d recommend it, especially at this price when the weather is still warm. For the cost, the location, facilities and service were all good.
