Aslan Corner Hotel

The staff were really nice, but the room had dirty floors and walls, and the bathroom was especially filthy in the shower. We had to pay for air conditioning, and when we first turned it on, it smelled moldy. At first we didn’t think much of it, but the stink became noticeable after a while. The shower water swung between freezing cold and boiling hot, making it almost impossible to wash. Overall, I’d rate it 6/10.

I stay at this hotel every year. The atmosphere is excellent, and there are Mediterranean dishes as well as delicious food. The à la carte restaurants are available at reasonable prices. The place is extremely clean, and the people are warm, friendly, and helpful. I recommend staying here.

We stayed for 15 days and had a pleasant time. The reception staff were the best, and the pool was clean and nice after a long day. The restaurant was okay, and the staff there were super helpful and kind. The food depended on the dish, but was generally okay. Don’t get the English breakfast, and pancakes cost 6 euro each. The rooms need work. They’re old and cracked, and our double room was disappointing. The pictures on the website looked nice, but maybe they were stock photos or AI, because the room felt like visiting beachside russia. The toilet and shower were nasty. The bidet sprayed my jewels and was cold as hell. The air conditioning was kind of dirty and leaked brownish stuff some nights. After we asked reception, we did have a few days without it. The shower could go from heavenly to North Pole cold, then hellishly hot, then somewhere in between. The extra blanket had dirty yellowish marks, and the blue cover under the bed had some questionable marks. I think someone liked eating Italian in bed. Cleaning service was hit or miss: sometimes they came, sometimes they didn’t, and sometimes we got our old stuff back, or things with even more marks and somehow a smoker hole in them. Be ready to buy toilet paper, since we went some days without any and ended up buying it ourselves. It would help if they vacuumed and dusted too. That takes a few seconds, and I did it myself because I hate dust spots. Overall, it was good, and the staff were the best. If they renovated the rooms and improved the cleaning, this hotel could be 4 stars. I probably wouldn’t visit again. Maybe I’d choose a 5-star hotel or one closer to the city wall, but this is okay for people who spend the whole day at the beach or go on trips.

The young receptionist who worked during the day was absolutely fantastic, and his English was perfect. Most of the restaurant staff were okay too, especially the older man with grey hair, who was very friendly. But food and drinks were expensive. A bottle of water that costs 15 Turkish lira at the local shop was 100 Turkish lira here. One of the restaurant workers, Ahmet, asked me for money to pay his rent. The man at the front with a bit of a ponytail looked very angry and didn’t seem interested unless he was eating.
