The hotel's past might have been better, but today it was a really sad experience. The food was awful, customer service was poor, rooms were ruined, and cleaning was disappointing. Wi-Fi cost $20 for seven days and only worked around the restaurant. When I needed help with a problem, the receptionist told me, “Not our problem.” Minus 10 out of 10 for a budget family vacation.
This place needs to be closed urgently. I'll file complaints everywhere. Don't go! The whole hotel was a disgusting mess, from the smelly pool water to rooms that stank of poop and a chaotic restaurant. I can't even call the food food, it was vomit, like pig scraps. Everyone at the hotel had diarrhea and stomach problems. Maybe it was Salmonella, but I don't know for sure. There were the worst employees I've ever dealt with at a hotel. One person at reception said their room had been robbed and their documents had disappeared. Anyone can walk in, and there's rarely someone on guard. It was a nightmare, the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.
The only nice thing was how green and pretty the grounds looked. Everything else was a waste of money, and I wouldn't recommend staying here. The photos are completely misleading: the beach doesn't look like that, the lovely wooden piece in the sea is actually an ugly, rusted metal thing, and it's not a sandy beach like they tell you. My family and I all had stomach problems after eating the greasy, dirty food, and there were bugs in the food room. We often had to hunt for chairs and cutlery, and once used spoons because there were no forks. Tables were sometimes left dirty, so we wiped them ourselves. When staff did wipe them, they used the same wet cloth on every table. The pools were dirty and barely cleaned. People had bugs, mold, and cockroaches in their rooms. Some days cleaning didn't happen unless you tipped, and I saw a cleaner smoking in the building. We arrived without towels and didn't get any until the next day, even after reporting it to staff. They barely spoke English, which made communication hard. The Wi-Fi was awful even in the room, and you had to pay to use it. A lot of the air conditioning didn't work. Outside of the green grounds, there was little to like.
We couldn't change hotels because everything else was fully booked, and the booking website had lied about this being a four-star place. The green in Green Paradise Hotel seems to refer to the dirt around it, and paradise is the opposite of what it really is. Our first week's staff, from 29/08 to 04/09, were competent, nice, and polite. Then the team had a big argument in front of everyone and was fired. The staff in week two were polite but useless. Receptionist Yunus was calm, kind, and very helpful. Ömür and his wife at the shop were also friendly and helpful, with big hearts. They were the only good part of the hotel. The place was dirty, cheap, smelly, and had broken items scattered around, including dangerous electrical equipment within children's reach. Our room had a poor bed and almost no privacy, just a small curtain over the windows. It was very dirty. Cleaners only made the bed and didn't change sheets or towels, clean the toilet, or really clean anything. The shower and sink water tasted salty and was horrible for washing or brushing teeth, so we used the hotel's mineral water to brush. The food was disgusting, with no variety and no proper refrigerated salad bar, just an old broken wooden cupboard. Cold items warmed up and hot food went off quickly. They sometimes put out dessert at dinner, but there wasn't enough for everyone. There was no hygiene. Around the hotel, things were broken and the pool was dirty and never cleaned. We stayed out of it, and other reviews say the same. There was no volleyball, no gym, no free Wi-Fi, and no air conditioning at reception. The same boring music played every day for two weeks and woke us up. The website said four stars, which was a lie.
The room's hairdryer would switch itself on, and I stupidly ignored it. The next morning, while I was drying my hair, it started smoking. When I put it down, it exploded. The electricity went out in the whole room, and staff barely did anything. I left right after that, so I can't say anything about the pools. I arrived with low expectations because this was only a three-star hotel, but it was worse than I imagined. The food was absolutely awful, and I expected to throw up every night. The listing mentioned soup from 11 PM to midnight, but there was none. Luckily, Flex Beach Restaurant was nearby and had very good, though not especially healthy, food. The sea was nice until the big boulders; past that it was passable, which was about the nicest thing I can say. Don't come here. Stay at a good five-star hotel if you can afford one, or just skip the vacation.
