Hotel Diamond Hill Resort

We had a great holiday from beginning to end, and the price through 'On the beach' was an absolute bargain for what we got. The rooms, food and people were all lovely. It’s a Turkish 5*, so people expecting a UK 5* might be disappointed, but we weren’t. There was a good mix of food for different nationalities. Kids’ discos finished promptly at 11, and after that you could hear people playing classical music in the beautiful lounge. The entertainment was lovely, and when we return, we’ll stay at Diamond Hill again. Highly recommended.

The spa and Hamam were the best part for me, with good prices. Dila and ReRe did a great job, though afterwards the person in charge would tell you that you had lots of issues and needed two more sessions. They said this to everyone to get them to book again. The hotel itself and the staff were just okay, nowhere near 5-star standard. The food was cold and very bland. My husband got food poisoning, and we later found out three other guests got sick that same day. The room was okay, but the beds and pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable. The beach has pebbles rather than sand. The hotel is in a handy location, with what you need nearby, and town is a 15-minute drive away. Omur Paca restaurant is the best place to eat close by.

We spent two nights in hospital, and a lot of people had serious contamination, so be very careful about what you eat there. The beach area and the journey to it are bad, and the service felt more like a 3-star hotel than a 5-star one. If you need a hospital, I wouldn’t go to Anatolia hospital in Alanya, which the hotel recommends. It felt like that hospital could kill you for money.

The room was nice and the food tasted good, but Atakan was the best part of the hotel. The animation team made our time around the pool fun and lively. I’d definitely come back to his hotel.
