First Class Hotel B Blok

A few days ago I ate a dish with mushrooms, and soon afterward several of us, including me, felt very ill. The mushrooms seemed to have been sitting around for days and were spoiled. We strongly suspect they were toxic. I had what felt like food poisoning, with severe nausea, stomach pain and vomiting. When we told the staff what was happening, they showed no urgency or concern. They said to wait until morning and call an ambulance ourselves if things got worse. Serving food that may be poisonous and then refusing to take responsibility when customers become seriously ill is unacceptable. This was a serious health risk, not just a bad meal. I strongly advise people to avoid this place if the staff keep ignoring basic food safety and showing so little care for customers.

The location is beautiful, and we made the most of the beach. The hotel itself was a letdown. It was run down when we arrived, and very basic, which I could have accepted. The food was awful: there was a decent salad selection, but most of the rest was cheap, oily food. Our room was dirty and only got a “clean” once during our five-day stay. On our last day, they didn’t change the beds or towels, or even empty the bins. I can’t think of one good thing to say about the hotel overall.

Alania city was good, but the hotel disappointed us. It’s really old, and the rooms smell bad. The staff were fine, though one Turkish woman at reception wasn’t very helpful. The gym and pool also smelled old and bad.

The staff really made the stay for me. Murat and Hussein in the dining room, and Nasgul at reception, were so kind and helpful. My flight was at midnight, and even though checkout was at 12, they let me rest in the hotel lounge until evening. Huge thanks to them. They’ve done a lot to save the hotel’s reputation, and I hope the managers see this. I booked because my friends were already staying here. The reviews looked bad, but my experience was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were comfortable and in decent condition, though the bathrooms could use a few small fixes. Mine was room 1512, with a beautiful sea and pool view from the balcony. It was far from the disco, so the noise wasn’t too bothersome, and the disco doesn’t run every day. There was traffic noise from the road too, but that was fine for me. The dining room and food were okay, and I liked them, though they could be better. There were lots of families, so it seemed good for children. The beach was amazing and just a two-minute walk away. The shop by the entrance had good prices, which isn’t always the case in a tourist area. Wi-Fi costs 2 euros a day. The signal was okay in the room but weak in some spots, like by the pool. I’d recommend the hotel. I had a good time here.
