Grand Rosa Hotel

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The tram stop is less than a minute away, and the Blue Mosque is under five minutes by tram. Walk across the road for a couple of minutes and you’re at the Grand Bazaar. Take one tram to the Blue Mosque, then it’s a few more minutes to the Egyptian market (spice bazaar). Perfect location.

We arrived very late, and the young gentleman at reception helped us find a room right away. His young colleague was also kind and helpful, though I didn’t catch either of their names. The rooms were affordable, spacious, comfortable, nice, and clean, and housekeeping clearly does a good job. Wi-Fi was good, and breakfast was included and tasty, a great way to start the day. The hotel is close to the Grand Bazaar and downtown. I recommend it to everyone. If possible, we’ll try to stay here when we visit Istanbul again. Greetings from Gabriel!

We looked at ten hotels nearby and chose this one, which turned out to be the right choice. The staff told us to move our car before 9 a.m., but we ignored them and the police took it. Management helped us get it back.

The location is perfect, close to all the sights, and all the staff were friendly and helpful except for the young blonde receptionist. She refused to give us her name and wasn’t wearing a name tag. She was rude and threw the key card at us. When we asked for help getting around Istanbul by public transport, she kept trying to sell us overpriced private tours. After we complained, she deleted our Booking reservation, so we couldn’t leave a review there. She blamed a new colleague, but it turned out there was no new colleague, so she lied. We had to call the hotel manager to calm her down. She was disrespectful and harsh throughout. We also didn’t get the breakfast we’d paid for on our last morning, and the way she told us was unacceptable. You don’t talk to a hotel guest that way. We don’t recommend this hotel. Again, she deleted our booking, which meant we couldn’t leave direct feedback on Booking.
