This was a deeply upsetting experience with Black Tulip Hotel. We lost the full cost of a booking for my mother and two other pensioners after serious safety concerns related to the regional conflict made travel too risky for them. This was about the safety of elderly people, not a casual change of plans. We explained the circumstances repeatedly, but the hotel offered no refund or date change and showed no compassion. The replies felt rigid and scripted, with the hotel relying on its policy despite the emergency. Cancellation terms may differ by booking, but I expected basic understanding for vulnerable older travellers. I don't recommend this hotel based on how it treated us when it mattered. Hospitality should include empathy, and we were left with a complete financial loss. I'd caution families and older travellers that unexpected events may bring no support. Very disappointing and frankly upsetting!!!!

The location worked really well, with a tram station nearby and a busy street close by. The staff were excellent and made our stay smooth and memorable. I loved the hotel.

The famous landmarks are close, and the tram stop is right there, which made the location very convenient. Staff were great, friendly, and helpful. Our room was small but clean and pleasant, with a little balcony, though a few small things needed repair. The noise carried on very late, unfortunately, so light sleepers may struggle.

The rooms were clean and cozy, and the breakfast, which was given to us for free, was very good. We stayed five days with three friends and had a great time. If you know the area well enough to avoid tourist traps, the location is excellent, close to the tram and historic sights like the Hagia Sophia and the Basilica Cistern. I'd come back :))

Irina was a real professional and helped us book all our cruises and other things, which made for a great time. I'd recommend the hotel. Breakfast was fine, and the room was clean and in good shape.
