I booked in January for a May trip, then tried to cancel because of the war in the Middle East and the situation with airspace. The hotel won't cancel or refund me, even though my arrival is still two months away. Their Agoda replies were unprofessional. They said their country was safe and prepared for any situation, and that they couldn't cancel a May booking while it was still March, mentioning Dubai Airport. They seem unaware of reports about air strikes over Turkey, damage to Dubai airport affecting connecting flights, and surrounding countries. Intrepid uses this hotel as a starting point for tours, but the hotel seems focused on money and doesn't care about guest safety. Emirates and Intrepid refunded me, and I think the hotel should consider my request and do the same. Zero stars. I wouldn't recommend it.

The rooms ran a bit hot, so I had to buy a fan. They charged me $10 a day to store it while I traveled around Turkey. Still, the staff were really nice and friendly, the place was super clean, and I was happy with everything.

Rodrigo made our short time in Istanbul feel more comfortable and reassuring. He had sincere conversations with us and offered help and advice as we got around the city. He also arranged an airport transfer with a reliable taxi operator, and it was smooth, honest, and reasonably priced. He mentioned options at other Weingart properties if we come back. The location felt safe and was great, and we're looking forward to staying at Weingart again.

I found it easy to explore the city on foot or by public transport from the Weingart Hotel, thanks to its very central location. The staff were so friendly and helpful that I felt welcome right away. My room was clean, modern, and well equipped, and I thought the price matched the quality perfectly. I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it for a comfortable, stress-free trip to Istanbul. I'll definitely return.

I enjoyed my short stay at Weingart Hotel. Karaköy is a great base for backpackers on a short visit, with Galata Tower, Galataport, and other Micheline star restaurants nearby. It's about a 7-minute walk to Galata Tower and even closer to the waterfront at Galataport. Tophane tram station and the Karaköy ferry terminal are also just a few minutes away, making it easy to reach Sultanahmet or Kadıköy. The hotel feels contemporary and, as I understand it, opened around 2021. Rooms are soundproofed, which helps in busy Istanbul, and you can get a Seaside or City view. Murat and Emir are among the staff often praised for going above and beyond, and their hospitality makes guests feel at home.
