Dab Hotel Ulus

Elmas and Selim were especially welcoming, upbeat, and helpful, and their support made the stay memorable. Our room was kept tidy and clean throughout, which made it comfortable and relaxing. I had a wonderful stay, would gladly recommend the hotel, and hope to return.

Ulus is close to the main sights, and public transport connections are excellent, though it isn't an elegant part of Ankara. I'd recommend being back at the hotel before 21:00. The room was perfectly clean, breakfast was good, and the staff were kind and helpful. Great value, with just one drawback: a loud fan outside near my window.

Update April 2026 This was our second stay in three months, and I'm still very happy with the accommodations. We booked a deluxe double room, but room 603 has a large balcony instead of an alcove sitting area. The room is on the small side, though the balcony more than makes up for it. From mid April to the end of September seems like the best time to use it. We've sat out there every night, and the weather has been awesome. At other times of year, I don't think that tradeoff would be worthwhile. I've added a few more photos of the balcony room. Highly recommended! -------- Feb 2026 We were very pleased with our two night stay at Dab Ulus Otel. The manager upgraded us, and check in was easy. Room 402 was large, up to date, and seemed recently renovated, with clean walls and floors. It had a very comfortable queen bed, a nice sitting area, a large bathroom, and plenty of closet space for coats and clothes. That's unlike many hotel rooms in Türkiye. A very nice kahvaltı was included, too. There's a small cafe/restaurant attached, and BIM, Şok, and various tekkeler are within one short block. It was about a five minute walk to the market center and around 15/20 minutes to the M1 M2 M3 Ulus Metro Station. Several museums are between the market center and the station. Ankara Castle is about a 20 minute walk away and well worth visiting. Worth considering!

We stayed for a whole week, and everyone made things easier for us. Downstairs there's a cozy cafe with really comfy couches to relax on. The atmosphere is very chill.
